When Jill Platner opened her New York City boutique at 113 Crosby Street in 1998 there were no other shops in the vicinity. “The jewelry was displayed on saw horses and nails stuck in the wall,” remembers the designer. Now her gallery is surrounded by big name brands in what has become a full fledged wing of the Soho shopping district.
