Once devs started getting theirs, there was no indication of an outer shipping box. I'm surprised more Deck's haven't been stolen because Valve chose to save money by not using an outer box.Packages usually get stuck there for a week or more. I'm not saying it won't happen or that it won't be profitable, but the incentive is going to drop as the prices fall and the scarcity decreases. Risking your job to make a quick $1500 is one thing, but now that the devices are going for $800-900 it's much less enticing.

People have posted images of the “Your Deck was reported as stolen” message on Reddit and one person tried to RMA theirs and Support said they could not help for the same reasons.
