Clean the contacts on both sides of the plug, the strips in male plug and the strips in the female opening. Use the search function on this forum for more information on cleaning the contacts.

A tstat failure forced the car to go into a recovery mode where the fans stay on at full blast and the temp gauge pegs to zero.
